Grés-inspired Gown




1930s French couture has always stood out in my mind as quintessential for impeccable tailoring, exquisite craftsmanship and use of the best materials.  In April 2011, I happened upon an exhibit at the Musée Bourdelle in Paris of designer Madame Grés where I became convinced that my wedding dress was to be inspired by this era, and by Grés's designs.  But I couldn't find any contemporary designers doing dresses like these within my budget.  So I met with a seamstress here in LA and it looks like we are just going to create it ourselves!  
I can't wait to see what we come up with...
