This Thanksgiving so far - I've been to San Francisco, Sacramento, Denver & Nevada City - and am heading to West Palm Beach, FL tomorrow.  Thankful for warm homes to welcome me in each town.

Creatures of Comfort: LA Fall

Fall comes whether you're ready for it or not, apparently.  These shoes, that sweater & those shades for the ever-shining LA sun would be welcome additions to my tiny fall wardrobe.

A & D Museum: Eames

Charles and Ray Eames were masters of seeing 'the uncommon beauty in common things'.  A new exhibition called Eames Words at the Architecture & Design Museum of LA displays their creative process, focusing more on their ideas than their design outcomes.  I love the simple pleasures in life and can't wait to check out that which they considered beautiful.

Finn Juhl

A look at architect/furniture designer Finn Juhl's home in Ordrup, Denmark, which is now a museum.  The hearth is my favorite, it totally makes the living room so inviting.  And that painting of the woman in the yellow blouse, oh my.  More photos here.
