Weekend

With my friends from Sweden + my sister visiting, we have a busy weekend planned-

hiking in runyon, road trip to Palm Springs/Joshua Tree, dinner at Citron, then a Sunday bike-ride with Ciclavia.  Prettttyyy good.

Mt. Tam Wedding

Just got home from a wonderful love-fest of a weekend in Mt. Tamalpais for our dear friends Jason and Kate's wedding.  Being back in the bay after so long was absolutely refreshing, and being able to share this event with so many friends filled my heart with joy.  The wedding went off without a hitch, and between my fiancé officiating and me in charge of decor, it was super fun to be so involved in the joining of two loved ones.  More beautiful photos to come...

Just spotted this beautifully curated shop Beau + Aero in Santa Monica, filled with vintage clothing (like the vintage silk Anne Klein blouse), new jewelry (like the above pieces from High Low by Sonya Gallardo), and fine art.

I am obsessed with this picture of Miss Monroe, all cozy on the beach.  The woman looks just as good fully clothed - and that sweater makes me excited for the fall weather I've been waiting for.

First day of Fall + Girls Weekend

While the boys are out celebrating a friends bachelor party, I am happily enjoying a best girlfriend weekend.  Let's hope we can squeeze in one more beach day before LA weather goes down to the 70s (heaven forbid).  We'll also be doing a little bit of this, and a little bit of that.

A Current Affair

Just bought tickets to next weekend's A Current Affair, the vintage pop-up shop in downtown LA that features some of the best vintage retailers in the city, all under one roof....and with cocktails.  I went with my girlfriends in April, as seen in aerial photo above :).  Go here to get discounted entry.

How great would it be to wear an elegant skirt-top combo instead of a wedding dress?  In this case I think it works perfectly.  Skirt + top both by Lanvin.

minimal room

Although minimalism is not really my style, nor my forte in shopping, I really like the simplicity of this room.  And the baskets are beautiful too!

Ayrton Senna

If you haven't seen it already, go see the documentary Senna, based on Brazilian race-car driver Ayrton Senna.  The story is told through amazing archival footage, and is so riveting and heartbreaking that it will stick with you for awhile.
